To avoid putting ourselves and other patients, particularly those with other health conditions, at risk we ask that if you think that there's a possibility that you might have, or been exposed to, coronavirus that you do not come in to the clinic.

If you have a fever and respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough or sore throat AND:

have returned from overseas travel in the last 14 days OR are a contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case OR believe that you may have been in close contact with a person infected with COVID-19 then you should attend one of the COVID clinics set up in the major Perth hospitals.

If you do not meet these criteria and would like advice please call our reception, explain the situation, and we will arrange a phone consultation.

The overly prudent approach to medical practice adopted by CCMC contrasts with what similar clinics from EU or UK are doing. Offering a telephone call to anyone with a respiratory condition or a flu is not a consultation. In medieval times the doctors were facing much more dangerous deseasses and still received and even went to visit their patients. But in a country where politicians from left to right see only one solution to the current crisis, ie isolation, it is not a surprise that medical practices adopt the politicians' magic bullet.
